Harpocrates Publishing, founded in 1997, is a small, independent publishing house based in Alexandria, Egypt. The inspiration for its creation was the apparent lack of serious yet general public books about the city of Alexandria. To date Harpocrates has published ten different works and has stepped beyond the limits of its hometown to explore other parts of Egypt.
